Another leak found at our vacation home! Luckily, no damage! Somehow the shower control valve was leaking due to a frozen pipe.

We were having a leak in the Tahoe guest house fixed. An hour after the plumber left, I checked the Flume app and noticed a 7 gallon/hr usage. I went to the garage and noticed the faint sound of the water running coming from the shut-off valve that goes under the garage slab. I turned the handle another 1/8 turn and the sound went away. I checked the Flume app and sure enough the water usage had gone to zero — I would have never noticed it without Flume.

When I installed my Flume device, I was shocked about how much water I was using for irrigation. I had my gardener fix the leaks and I was able to reduce my water usage by about 600 gallons per week! Next project… my shower head!
